Zaak Flash is a merchant in Shadowrun: Dragonfall.
Background[ | ]
This elf has clearly seen better days. His skin is weathered and emaciated, as though it has been stretched too tightly over his frame. Track marks line the crooks of his arms, and dirty bandages wrap his knuckles. Despite all of this, he seems cheerful enough. The elf fixes his twinkling, bugged-out eyes on yours and offers you a broad smile, displaying a set of impossibly white teeth. When he speaks to you, his voice is surprisingly deep.
Zaak is actually a human who has underwent cosmetic surgery to make himself resemble an elf, in order to boost his sales.
Interactions[ | ]
- Zaak is a drug dealer. He sells his own concoction, Flash, as well as Nitro and Kamikaze.
- You can bring him drug formulas to increase his offer.
- You can examine his bandaged hands to learn about his... Magical pursuits. If you have Biotech 3, you can find out a few interesting facts about Mr Flash. If you interrogate him about his ears, you can earn a Flash and ¥50.
- You can actually earn double that if you're an elf - first confront him using Biotech, then examine his bandaged hands as an elf. You will be able to use the Biotech dialogue option again.
- Buying Flash from him grants the achievement "Whatever You Need." You are required to actually purchase it to earn the achievement - being given the free one from dialogue options does not count.
- If you bring a Flash to Xabier Ezkibel in the clinic, you unlock a dialogue option to have Ezkibel examine it and see what it is made of. When you return to Ezkibel later on, he warns you to not use Flash, for it is a more dangerous version of Cram.
Shadowrun: Hong Kong[ | ]
Zaak makes a return appearance in Shadowrun: Hong Kong. He is located in a shop named The Emporium, which is tucked away in a corner of the Shep Kip Mei alley market, only available during the mission The Extraction. He mentions that his name is Zaak, but his display name never changes from "Strange Looking Elf."
- He sells drugs again: Bliss and Rilaxin.
- You can make a Charisma 2 check to unlock the option to buy from his special stash, which contains weapons this time. Specifically, the Yamaha Pulsar taser gun, Wild One SMG, and Sandblaster shotgun. If you already looted the Wild One or the Sandblaster during the mission Whistleblower, they will not be available here.
